New battery plant in MA could create industry jobs.
Recognizing the important role that fuel efficiency and renewable energy are playing in the federal government's broad agenda, one Massachusetts-based manufacturer is planning to grow their business.

While many manufacturing companies are strapped for cash and bogged down with excess inventory, Boston-Power Inc has announced plans to open a new factory in Auburn, Massachusetts, according to a report from the Associated Press.

The company is expected to build a new 455,000 square-foot facility that could employ 600 people in its process making batteries for hybrid and electric cars.

Federal and state stimulus funds are crucial to the plant and new employment goals coming to fruition, says the AP.

Given the battering the manufacturing sector has taken as the economy took a downward slide, the anticipation of employment opportunities in the industry is good news.

Last month, employment at manufacturers fell by 149,000 - bringing total job loss in the sector since September 2008 to 1.2 million jobs, according to statistics from the Department of Labor.

When we started this program, you indicated your team was there to transition us over to a more conventional working capital arrangement in time. It actually happened very fast, and the new program is working well... I just wanted to thank you and your whole team for the professional manner in which you handled our account.
