Despite larger workloads and more work hours, Expedia.com 2009 International Vacation Deprivation Survey reports that 34 percent of US workers don't use their vacation days. Why don't people use their personal days to take a break from the extra hours they put in? More depressing is the fact that 27 percent of workers haven't taken personal time or a sick day in a couple of years according to the 2010 CareerBuilder work/life balance study. We all understand the need to work long hours on an urgent project or to resolve a problem and that's OK....
