Banks Keep Tight Rein on Loans

Despite the growing demand for loans, banks say they've kept their lending standards the same according to the Federal Reserve's The January 2012 Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey on Bank Lending Practices. Banks also reported little change on commercial and industrial (C&I) loan standards. However, they eased up on pricing terms on these loans in the fourth quarter.
