However, in some areas of the country, the climate may dictate a more pressing need for landscape services.
An article in the St Petersburg Times by guest columnist John Korycki said that in Florida, a specific type of Florida-friendly landscape is not only an attractive way to enhance a property, but is also a way to help build a more sustainable environment.
"Florida-friendly landscapes blend traditional curb appeal with properly chosen plant material and maintenance practices," writes Korycki in the article.
"A Florida-friendly yard is designed with plants that are adapted to our area, and in many cases can survive on natural rainfall," he added. Because these plants do not require fertilizer, pollutants in the water are reduced, said Korycki.
In addition to the potential pick-up in profits for Florida landscaping businesses, some companies that specialize in gardening and production of tools for the backyard are seeing new customers.
Many families are spending more time at home and rather than taking vacations they are working on their yards and gardens.

Great article! Thanks for sharing!
When it comes to tree trimming, farming, landscaping and labor intensive work I always bring out the bad boy toys. After destroying two back ends in my truck I finally decided to purchase some heavy duty equipment to help me on my way. I have found my dump truck and bucket truck to be very helpful with trimming tall trees and removing the debris from my yard.
