The Deseret News reports how one savvy business owner in Utah, Kelly King Anderson, has managed to turn her small business venture into a mentoring program for women-business owners worldwide.
www.startupprincess.com was launched by Anderson to educate other female entrepreneurs about the challenges of small business ownership and to serve as a virtual forum for relevant topic discussions, says the article.
One small business owner recently attended a luncheon sponsored by Startup Princess and praises the benefits of the organization, including its mentoring program.
"You can see great nurturing here," small business owner Vicki Winterton told the news source. "The networking is exceptional."
The site claims to have over 800 members worldwide and sees roughly 2000 online visitors daily.
According to the Salt Lake City chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Utah has 102,194 women-owned businesses which produce $23 billion in sales.
